Compensation: $15.00 per hour
Location:ย Oklahoma City, OK
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to join the Legal Counsel Unit within the Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General for the summer of 2025.
Position Summary:
The Legal Counsel Unit provides legal advice and representation to state agencies, boards, and commissions on a daily basis. This representation includes advising agencies concerning the lawful discharge of their duties and powers; representing agencies in administrative proceedings, employment proceedings, and some civil and appellate litigation in state and federal courts; and prosecuting holders of professional licenses before Boards that grant said licenses.
The Legal Intern will support attorneys in performing a variety of tasks related to legal research, document drafting and review, attending meetings and hearings, and assisting in strategizing for ongoing administrative cases and litigation, as described below. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in government law and policy, providing an excellent opportunity to learn about public sector legal work.
