The Corporate Counsel – Commercial Contracts is responsible for providing legal advice in relation to the global expansion and growth of the company’s indirect sales channels. This role requires a proactive, flexible, and positive mindset and someone who is a problem-solver at their core. The ideal candidate will be excellent at building relationships, have impeccable organization skills, and a history of managing legal and regulatory issues that vary across international markets.Β

What you will be doing:

  • Draft, review and lead the negotiation of commercial contracts, with a focus on software distribution and reseller agreements. Comfortable working closely with global sales and business development teams as a strategic partner.Β 
  • Utilize knowledge of relevant data privacy and medical device regulations to effectively guide the negotiation of distribution agreements for medical device software, ensuring compliance with market entry requirements.Β 
  • Coordinate and manage external counsel to resolve specialist issues and ensure expedient and accurate review and delivery of contracts.Β 
  • Assist General Counsel in building scalable and effective processes for the legal function, including through the creation and maintenance of contract templates and playbooks for indirect sales.Β 

What you will bring to the role:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and member in active good standing of a state bar required.
  • 4+ years of experience with corporate law firm or health tech in-house legal department.
  • Superior negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate legal issues into clear, β€œplain English” guidance for non-lawyers.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain rapport at all levels of an organization, and external company contacts. Β 
  • US West Coast location preferred. Ability to work remotely, or in a hybrid environment if within commuting distance of our Lynnwood, WA office.
  • Proof of COVID 19 vaccination required, except in limited circumstances where a legally recognized medical or religious exemption may be able to be accommodated.Β 


What you will receive:

Salary range: $150,000 - $165,000 per year, full time equivalent.Β Benefits include the option to participate in medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances; a 401K plan with a company match; and generous paid time off.

  • Please note that this role will be hybrid if the successful applicant lives within commuting distance of our Lynnwood, WA office. For candidates outside this location, the role will be fully remote.
