Microsoft’s Corporate, External and Legal Affairs (CELA) organization is seeking an experienced attorney to join the Microsoft Security legal team supporting two security business units and national security work. We’re looking for a skilled and dynamic lawyer to join our legal team to provide legal support for, and serve as a trusted advisor to, the Device Management product engineering team, supporting cutting edge enterprise services such as Intune, and the Central Fraud and Abuse Risk team. The attorney in this role will also serve as counsel to Microsoft’s National Security Team and be responsible for critical national security work.
This attorney will provide legal guidance, directly and in collaboration with other attorneys and legal professionals, to two business units on a range of legal, policy, business and strategic issues. This is a terrific opportunity to delve into important technical and policy areas, ranging from traditional product support work for enterprise offerings, to serving as a trusted advisor for an organization that seeks to apply greater rigor on how Microsoft addresses fraud in all of its manifestations. In this role, you can grow your skills across a wide range of different areas, in substantive legal/policy areas, as well as in other traditional in-house counsel capacities, such as learning to drive and influence internal alignment among different Microsoft stakeholders.
In addition, this attorney will provide legal support to Microsoft’s National Security Team that is a key component of Microsoft’s critical trust relationship with the US Federal Government in protecting sensitive information while enabling the business to build and deploy technology solutions in the highly regulated national security area.
