The Opportunity:

Position Overview:
We're on the lookout for a seasoned Legal Counsel to join our dynamic, global team in either San Francisco or Chicago. In this role, you'll provide invaluable legal guidance to support our rapidly expanding technology platform. Your focus will span SaaS product sales, venture fund oversight, and PropTech incubation, all within a Fortune 200 company context. Reporting directly to the General Counsel of JLL Technologies, this is a strategic position at the heart of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Negotiate and finesse complex customer agreements for our SaaS and technology-driven services, converting them into streamlined automated order forms and click-wrap binding documents.
· Offer product-focused legal advice to inform our buy, build, partner decisions, guiding 3-5 new launches every quarter.
· Collaborate with our internal venture fund, shepherding multiple investments annually.
· Craft and curate top-tier legal templates and playbooks.
· Deliver educational sessions to our broader Legal and Compliance Team, as well as cross-functional business units.
· Partner with diverse business leaders to refine operational workflows, accelerating deal closures, minimizing friction, and effectively navigating risks.
Quantifiable Skills and Requirements:
· A J.D. degree, coupled with 6+ years of relevant legal experience in either a corporate or firm setting.
· A proven ability to close multiple commercial/technology deals annually.
· Experience managing a legal portfolio exceeding $25M in annual contract value.
· Proficiency in legal technology tools and a general aptitude for technology products.
· Demonstrated success in reducing contract negotiation cycles by at least 25%.
· A solid grasp of AI and machine learning, coupled with the skill to craft effective prompts for AI-assisted legal research and contract analysis.
· A genuine interest in both commercial real estate and technology.
· Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience within the technology or SaaS sectors, while not mandatory, would be beneficial.
· Familiarity with the real estate technology and PropTech landscapes.
· Expertise in privacy laws, including GDPR and CIPP, along with data protection regulations.

Estimated total compensation for this position:
150,000.00 – 200,000.00 USD per yearThe total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
