A prestigious AM 100 law firm is seeking an experienced General Counsel to join its Washington, D.C. office. This high-profile role offers an opportunity to lead the firm's legal strategy, regulatory compliance, risk management, and professional responsibility matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys with extensive law firm experience, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in legal advisory, corporate governance, and risk management.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) Degree from a T-14 law school (Required).
• 10+ years of legal experience, preferably in law firm general counsel roles, risk management, or legal operations leadership.
• Prior Experience at an AM 100 or AM 200 Law Firm (Required).
• Expertise in regulatory compliance, professional ethics, and risk management for law firms or corporate legal departments.
• Strong leadership and advisory skills with experience guiding senior management and legal teams.
• Deep understanding of legal industry regulations, data privacy, attorney ethics, conflicts management, and firm governance.
• Exceptional Legal Writing & Research Skills with strategic problem-solving abilities.
• Bar Admission in Washington, D.C., or eligibility to waive in.
• Consistent Employment History with no unexplained gaps or frequent job-hopping.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $435,000 $485,000
• Bonus Structure: Performance-based discretionary bonuses
