Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counsel and advice to cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders to setย ย ย theย company's legal strategy on a broad range of matters related to new initiatives and
ย products and other corporate, transactional, and regulatory matters.
-ย Maintain a deep understanding of the company's business and industry and provide
ย expert legal advice to the company management and departments on a wide range of
ย legal issues.
- Engage strategically in risk assessment and mitigation and developing innovative
ย approaches to legal issues in support of business objectives.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure
ย they are legally sound and align with the company's interests, and they interpret andย ย ย explainย legal language and the implications of various legal documents.
- Ensure that all contracts and agreements comply with relevant laws and regulations.
-ย Advise on potential liabilities, and work to protect the company's legal interests in
ย various transactions and operations.
-ย Coordinate with internal departments to ensure legal considerations are integrated into
ย business decisions.
- Monitor and ensure the company's compliance with all applicable laws and regulations,
ย including industry-specific regulations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks and ensure
ย regulatory compliance, and update company policies to ensure they reflect current laws
ย and best practices.
-ย Act as a liaison between the company and external legal firms, government agencies,ย ย ย andย regulatory bodies.
- Advise the HR team on federal, multi-state, and international employment law.
-ย Partner with the HR team on employment practices, employment handbook updates,ย ย ย andย HR compliance training.
- Represent the company directly and/or manage outside counsel in litigation mattersย ย ย andย other legal issues and/or special projects.
- Advise and support corporate governance-related matters.
- Create ad-hoc and routine reports and work with the parent company/affiliates in Korea.
